I\D Media Release:
Elite… is I\D’s debut album. It is broken into 3 ‘suites’, each representing a different combination of players going about their insane drug-addled noise-making. Inspired by the bloody-mindedness of misanthropic black metal, this album is a raw noisy affair that brings to mind Hijokaidan dueling with Skullflower whilst chilling to jazz rock legend Terje Rypdal.
We say:
“How can the world be free when assholes are king”? asks the penultimate track on I\D’s debut, an album which, while having its tongue firmly in cheek, is profoundly and sincerely concerned with being “irrevocably tr00“. This 2007 collection of wild jams, heavy rock outs and exploratory passages will be remembered for bringing Singapore’s underground free improv rock into the open. How can the world be free? As I\D show, we can start by letting a bit more freedom into our lives.

5. Give Me Shit I Give You Rock N’ Roll
10. Mo’ Better Blues
12. How Can the World be Free When Assholes are King
Review:
“… an explosion of brawny, blood-and-guts blues which sounds like a cross between an even more drugged-up Hendrix (!!), late, Ascension-era Coltrane and, well, a chainsaw.” – Aging Youth
