Half a year after the luscious debut ARCN TEMPL release (a partnership with Vivian Wang), Leslie Low composes for theatre company Drama Box’s production of The Magnanimous Cuckold, described as a ‘tragic farce’. Low’s soundtrack brilliantly captures the lighter and darker moods of the play, moving from fairy tale magic and whimsical (see the Drama Box promotional trailer below) to more mysterious and sinister diffusions. Low’s wide palette of mostly acoustic instruments and masterful arrangements create an intricate world of exquisite sounds and delicate poise.
